The Results of the Regional and Branch Industrial Fairs

In May, under assistance of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan held Regional Industrial Fairs. In June, automotive, electrical engineering and aviation and product standards sectors; geology, fuel and energy complex, chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industries; public services, transport, capital building and construction industries, education, healthcare and social protection sectors, information and telecommunications systems held Branch Industrial Fairs.

These events brought together more than 1,300 enterprises, visited by about 29,000 people, resulted in over 2520 supply agreements for finished products, components and materials worth more than 1,225 billion soums as well as export contracts amounting to $13,965,000.

A fair held on July 6-8 this year in Uzexpocenter gathered some sixty enterprises operating in agricultural and water management sector. They presented long-term projects for goods and products, including those for exports, as well as the development of production based on the localization and cooperative ties. Among such products were lubricants, engine antifreeze, glass dishes, filter paper, quartz sand, polyurethane for shoes, satin.

For example, Uzagromashservis's business units demonstrated their potential in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation, expanding intra- and intersectoral industrial cooperation. The system embraces 265 companies, including 17 industrial and 180 specialized repair enterprises.

Uzbek-Russian joint venture Karshiradiator manufactures different types of radiators for agricultural and mining machines. The joint venture is actively cooperating with Navoi Mining Metal Plant and Olmaliq Mining and Metal Plant.

Enterprises of the Uzpakhtasanoat association manufacture more than two hundred types of products. Suction systems for cotton seeds processing plants, for containers and cotton lint, spare parts for cotton machinery and equipment for cottton processing enjoy a particular demand. However, much attention is paid to the localization of production, manufacturing of import substituting products through the development of cooperation with subcontractors.

At the fair, participants were able to attend presentations of companies, get acquainted with their technical and technological capabilities, exchange experience and views on the achievments. All this will further expand cooperation ties for the development of new products, as well as the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation.
